Five University of Scranton students majoring in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology (BCBM) recently presented their research at the 2015 American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) annual conference, held in December in San Diego, California. The students are: Matthew Reynolds, a sophomore from Apalachin, New York; and seniors Grace O'Neill of Avoca, Christa Musto of Forty Fort, Nicole McAndrew of Archbald and Alice Chen-Liaw of Morris Plains, New Jersey.

Twenty-two University of Scranton education majors are serving as student teachers during the fall semester at 14 schools in 11 school districts, which are Abington, Carbondale, Forest City, Lackawanna Trail, Lakeland, Mid Valley, North Pocono, Riverside, Scranton, Valley View and Wayne Highlands.

Christopher LoGiurato of Wilton, a University of Scranton student was among just 123 students from 52 higher education institutions in the nation named as University Innovation Fellows by the National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation.
